Women's SMU Nursing 'A State of Excellence' Jacket

Celebrating 115 years of Samuel Merritt University, Oaklandish is proud to collaborate with SMU’s College of Nursing in designing a shirt that embodies our shared vision of “A State of Excellence”. This design pays homage to the California-wide impact that SMU has both in practice and on its four campuses.

Featuring iconic landmarks from San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, and Fresno, along with sunbeams on a horizon symbolizing health equity and a caduceus representing nursing, this shirt celebrates SMU’s commitment to excellence and diversity in healthcare. In red, blue, and apricot — the symbolic color of nursing — it's a lively tribute to nurses' dedication and the communities they serve.
