Oaklandish is excited to announce our collaboration with SupplyBank.org to help ensure that every Oakland student has the necessary school supplies for academic success. SupplyBank.org is partnering with Oaklandish and Lend a Hand Foundation for its annual back-to-school campaign.
When you purchase one of our Primary or Secondary backpacks, a portion of proceeds goes toward supporting local students needing school supplies.
Research has shown that children with their own school supplies often have better grades, creativity, attitudes toward learning, confidence, peer relationships, and self-image. Homeless students face many challenges when attending school, and the lack of adequate school clothing and basic supplies is among the top issues they face. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of Oakland students.
