In a refreshing collaboration, a special brew called 3rd Street Lager brings together two neighbors, Oaklandish and Federation Brewing. This light, crisp Mexican-style lager was created as an ode to 3rd Street's historic brickwork warehouses, which embody Oakland's hard-working spirit.
Federation Brewing produces award-winning craft beer in the heart of Oakland's Jack London Square district. The word Federation is meant to encompass bringing positivity to a cooperative environment with beer as a focal point for inclusiveness and artisanship. It was only fitting that Oaklandish created a t-shirt design to commemorate this neighborly collaboration.
Ahead of the launch, Oaklandish team members lent a hand in brewing the beer. "It was important to have our Oaklandish design team involved in the beer-making process," says Oaklandish Marketing & Account Manager Theresa Hartwell. She says, "This collaboration was enriching because we were able to learn the brewing process from start to finish."
This collaborative brew will premiere at SF Beer Week on February 10th at the 21st Amendment Brewery. Kick-off party tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite. You can also head to Federation Brewing to enjoy a refreshing pour or buy a 4-pack to take home.
