"As the Downtown Oakland landscape keeps changing, I find it fascinating to photograph the iconic Tribune Tower from different vantage points and under different lighting and weather conditions.

My goal was to capture the Tribune Building in reflection of a newer high rise just across the street while still showcasing the beautiful detail at the top of the tower. Early evening was a great time to do this because the lights came on, bringing out the reflection."

Based in Oakland, California, Vincent James has extensive knowledge of not only the many locations for iconic landscape images throughout the Oakland and San Francisco Bay Area but also of the weather patterns and the seasonal light at those sites.
