Hey Oaklanders (and Oaklandish lovers!)
Happy Monday from the sunny side of the Bay.
Here’s your weekend recap: THE RAIDERS WON!!! Ok. That’s all.
Well, actually, in other news:
The Athletics lost two out of three in Houston; and now the A’s are back in town for their final home stand of the year (this horrible season is almost over, thank you Based God).
The Warriors apparently offered a 4-year contract extension to Harrison Barnes. It is reported that the contract was denied, but was a step in the right direction nonetheless, as the two sides are still in discussion.
Just this morning, The Nation ran a huge piece on The Urban Shield Expo and Conference, the world’s largest police training, which is annually held in the East Bay suburb of Pleasanton. The article mentions how some Oaklanders aren’t taking kindly to this training.
Last night, on separate sides of the town, two people were shot. Both shootings are reportedly non-life threatening.
Photos from Love Our Lake Day (#LoveOurLakeDay) and the Eat Real Festival (#EatRealFest/ #EatRealFestival) and #TownEats are amazing! When you have a minute, take a look at the hashtags on Twitter or Instagram, you’ll find pics of kids on bikes, an overwhelming amount of food porn, and a cool photo of Warriors center Festus Ezeli!
This past weekend’s weather was perfect for festivals, fun, and the RAIDERS FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON!!!
Today, the weather continues to be that of a dream. Hope you all have a good Monday! Stay sunny, Oakland.
