January Nonprofit of the Month: The Mosaic Project

Unite. Educate. Empower.

The Mosaic Project teaches people – from elementary school students to adults in the workplace – the skills needed to build peaceful communities that everyone deserves. Since 2000, The Mosaic Project has provided more than 37,000 students and 7,000 adults with immersive, experimental-education programs in diversity, empathy and conflict resolution.

Guided by the values of mutual respect, open mindedness, self respect, attitude individuality and community, The Mosaic Project works toward uniting children from diverse backgrounds and empowering them to become young peacemakers through community building skill sets.

The unification, education and empowerment of these young individuals helps build towards a diverse, just and inclusive world in the present as well as in the future.

On January 21st, 2017, we will host The Mosaic Project at our Dimond district retail store (3419 Fruitvale Ave).  Ten percent of the in-store proceeds from that day will go directly towards The Mosaic Project.
