School’s almost out and we’re gearing up for our 7th annual “Oakland Educated” tee shirt giveaway. Now a summer tradition, all OUSD high school students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are entitled to one free, limited-edition Oaklandish shirt, made just for the Oakland-educated.
To pick up your free shirt, just bring a copy of your official year-end 2017/18 (final) report card (the blue one that comes in the mail) into the Oaklandish store at 1444 Broadway or in the Dimond at 3419 Fruitvale anytime starting June 12th (until supplies run out). After all, local love can’t exist without local learning, and the Town still has a lot to teach us all.
The shirt is a limited colorway of our classic tree with roots logo — proof that wherever your Oakland education takes you, your roots will stay planted on the Sunny Side of the Bay. It’s available in sizes S through XL for women, and S through XXXL for men.
No purchase necessary. Only while supplies last, limit one per student, and other common-sense stuff like that. All students redeeming shirts must be present with ID and official end-of-year report card. Note to parents and guardians: students need to be there when getting the shirts so they can fill out our Oakland Educated survey, so you can't come without them to redeem!
