This Friday: free beer, truffled tater tots, and an all-vinyl DJ set. In the words of Jack London, “You take paradise. I’m going back to Oakland.”
On Friday, Feb. 3rd, swing by the Oaklandish spot at 1444 Broadway between 7 and 11 for the best in Oakland-generated entertainment. This month, native sons James and Evander will be performing a set of futurepop tunes, then switching to an all-vinyl DJ set to keep things rocking late into the night. What exactly is futurepop? Check out the video of their show at the Sanctuary for a sample.
And, as always, there will be locally-fermented refreshments from our friends at Linden Street Brewery and Urban Legend Cellars. We’ll be pouring some of Oakland’s most elusive beer — Linden’s Oaktown Lager, which is transported by bike and only served within the city limits. The trusty and tasty FiveTen Burger truck will also be out front, slinging sandwiches, burgers, and their brand new truffled tater tots (the very best in gourmet grease).
Like all good things in life, this event is free and open to anyone with Oakland charm in their hearts.
