It’s still warm out, but Oaklandish HQ, is getting prepped for the holidays. Our store on Broadway doesn’t just sell t-shirts and hoodies — it’s also a showcase for Oakland-made crafts and curiosities, from socks to succulents.
This month, we’re looking for town-grown gifts and goods to carry in the store from now through December. If you’re reading this, you probably know at least 5 people who sew, paint, or hammer their way around town.
If they’re looking for somewhere to display their handiwork, our spot at 1444 Broadway might be just the place!
We’ll stock anything cool, colorful and well-made, but we’re especially interested in warm winter goodies and men’s accessories (think hats, scarves and belts). After all, t-shirts and hoodies only do so much to shield you from the chilly bayside breeze. We’re also planning to have some local craftspeople host workshops and demonstrations in-store, so let us know if you’re also down to show off your skills in person. Most of our Oakland-made crafts are sold on consignment, and we take orders of all prices and sizes.
If you’re making good stuff in Oakland and are interested in having your wares carried in the store, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, along with some links to pictures of your work, and a linesheet so we can get an idea of your pricing.
