Be a Mentor with East Bay College Fund

We'd like to invite you to join East Bay College Fund and the Oakland Promise in mentoring 1st-generation college students from Oakland Public Schools through the collegiate process. East Bay College Fund is a community-based nonprofit that provides scholarships and persistence support services to resilient students historically underrepresented on college campuses.

East Bay College Fund needs college-educated professionals to join the mentor team! Mentors help students navigate the university system, as many lack family members who can advise in this process. Mentors also provide social, emotional, academic, and career support while students are in college. Your participation can make a lasting impact on the lives of high potential youth in Oakland and add value to your life as well.

Mentor Commitment - one coaching conversation per month (usually by phone), attend twice annual Retreats, support your scholars academic and professional development.
